Remanufacturing an automatic gearbox means we strip the unit completely, clean and measure every component, and build it back up with new A-quality parts wherever wear is found. The gearbox is dismantled to the last component, everything is cleaned and inspected, and each part is measured against specification. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ganzeboom.net\/en\/remanufacturing\/torque-converter\">torque converter<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ganzeboom.net\/en\/remanufacturing\/valve-bodies\">valve body<\/a> and the mechatronic can each be dealt with on their own. Diagnosis comes first: we read the unit in our workshop, and quite often we can already point you in the right direction over the phone.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"dyno\">Dyno tested before it leaves the building<\/h2>\n<p>A remanufactured gearbox is only as good as the proof behind it. That is why our automatics are coupled to the dynamometer and run under load before dispatch: shifting through the gears while pressures and temperatures are monitored live at the console. Those units get their adaptation drive and road test with the gearbox installed. Either way, nothing leaves the building on the assumption that it works. After fitting, the relearn procedure matters as much as the rebuild: our page on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ganzeboom.net\/en\/dsg-adaptation-reset\">adaptation reset and relearn procedure<\/a> explains why a freshly fitted gearbox can feel wrong until it has been taught the car.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"which\">Which automatics we take on<\/h2>\n<p>Every automatic is built differently, and we work across the range: from the classic three and four speed units to the modern seven, eight, nine and ten speed automatics, as well as CVT transmissions. Hybrid drivelines and manual gearboxes are remanufactured here too. We can remanufacture your own gearbox, so the unit that comes back is the one that belongs to the car. Or, when downtime matters more, an exchange unit can often be supplied from stock, with your old unit returned to us afterwards under our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ganzeboom.net\/en\/remanufacturing\/algemene-voorwaarden\/core-return-policy\">core return policy<\/a>. Shift complaints, limp mode and missing gears are regularly caused by the control side: the mechatronic or the transmission control unit. We diagnose that distinction before any work is quoted, and where the control unit itself has failed we can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ganzeboom.net\/en\/tcu-cloning\">clone the TCU<\/a> so the replacement works without dealer programming.
