Gearbox maintenance and longevity<\/h1>\n

Oil and filters<\/h2>\n

We recommend changing automatic transmission oil and filters every 60,000 km, or every two years. Depending on which transmission is involved and whether there are any complaints, we recommend flushing, if necessary. In many transmissions, a regular oil change involves replacing about 60% of the oil. When flushing the gearbox, virtually all the oil is replaced. It goes without saying which is better.<\/p>\n

Despite the fact that the oil has become much better, we still often see polution. For a relatively small maintenance fee, an expensive repair may be avoided. Gearbox filters, gaskets and the right oil can be supplied by Ganzeboom from stock and fitted if required.<\/p>\n

If you are experiencing problems with the automatic transmission, it is better to have us do a diagnosis first. When there really is a defect in the transmission, changing or flushing is obviously not a permanent solution. Sometimes there is then a temporary improvement, but due to the action of the oil, there can also be a deterioration. In that case, we can of course offer a solution in the form of a repair or overhaul.<\/p>\n

One thing is beyond doubt; with timely oil changes, you run reduced risk of transmission failure.<\/p>\n

Software maintenance<\/h2>\n

Additionally what can be done in terms of maintenance is to read error codes, reset adaptation values, and perform software updates. Of course, Ganzeboom can take care of this for you.<\/p>\n
